It just might not be quite the way you were expecting.

See, because they were at a Wetherspoons pub, anyone with the Wetherspoons app could order a drink remotely on their behalf.
Perhaps they were hoping a few friends who couldn't be there in person would send over a pint. Maybe, if they were lucky, a stranger or two would chip in.
