A vigilante kitty at an adoption center has been reprimanded for letting his furry neighbors out of the cat room "several times a day."

The Friends For Life Animal Rescue and Adoption Organization in Houston posted to Facebook on Oct. 29 saying Quilty the cat had to be "banished" to the lobby while the staff "Quilty-proofed" the cat room.

"His roommates missed him while he was banished to the lobby," the post reads. "They enjoyed their nighttime escapades around the shelter. The staff, however, did not miss the morning cat wrangling..."

Sadly (for the cats), the little freedom fighter appears to have led his last uprising. We're sure the staff will be heartbroken not to have to chase the escapees around in the morning.

There was also a #FreeQuilty campaign, and the shelter even held a press conference from Quilty's, uh..."legal counsel."

The post also linked to Quilty's adoption page, but as of this posting, Quilty seems to already be reserved. Before he went off with his foster family for a test run, the adoption center held an event on Saturday to see him off and wish him good luck. The event was, of course, titled, "Come Bid the Spicy A-Hole Good Luck."

"I might have found my forever home! Check back soon!" Quilty's adoption page reads. Will he be missed at the shelter? It probably depends on who you ask. Wherever Quilty ends up, we hope his owners don't care too much about privacy.
