Bill Gates participates in Reddit's Secret Santa event every year ... and every year he outdoes himself.

This year's lucky Redditor was user VietteLLC, who posted the delightful gifts Gates sent her to RedditGifts on Wednesday.

Viette, who hopes to operate her own no-kill cat shelter one day, received -- among other things -- donations to three of her favorite cat shelters, several Dr. Whoitems, a Dave Matthews band shirt, a personalized cross-stitch, and an artisanal Austrian snowglobe. As usual, it's clear that Gates did his research about his recipient's passions and thoughtfully selected each item with her in mind.

Oh, and here's the best present of all: this insanely large Pusheen. (Gates included a photo of himself with the plush -- a nice touch anda way to prove the gift was legit.)

In her post, VietteLLC wrote that while she's entered the RedditGifts exchange for years, she never thought she'd be the one whose name Bill Gates drew.

"As Pusheen was being released from his box, I picked up a letter with a picture, and thought it was SUPER weird that someone was so obsessed with Bill Gates as to send me a photo of him," she explained. "Then I just caught fragments of the letter all at once 'a donation has been made' 'bill gate', and my cat’s names. It clicked and I started to burst out loud laughing and crying simultaneously. I was a cliché."

Hey, if you get a huge tub of gifts from Bill Gates, "laughing and crying simultaneously" sounds like the only appropriate reaction.
