Taylor Swift's birthday this year will be doubly special for fans.
Today the singer announced that her Eras Tour film will be available to stream at home for viewers who don't catch it in theaters — or simply want to enjoy it once again. On Dec. 13, the star's 34th birthday, fans can rent the film on demand, in the U.S. and Canada, with additional locations being announced later.
And in an extra gift for fans, the film will be slightly extended from the cinematic release including filmed performances of "Wildest Dreams," "‘The Archer," and "Long Live."
Swift took to social media to declare the news, writing, "Well, so, basically I have a birthday coming up and I was thinking a fun way to celebrate the year we’ve had together would be to make The Eras Tour Concert Film available for you to watch at home!" The singer made the announcement following the final show of her 2023 tour, which took place in Brazil.

The immersive film, distributed exclusively by AMC Theatres, already broke box office records, debuting at the top of the box office in North America with a whopping opening night of $39 million in sales. It is now officially the highest grossing concert film of all time.

Mashable's review of the film says it all: "On my tiny screen at home, The Eras Touris reduced to snippets focusing solely on Swift and fan-favorite songs, but on an IMAX screen, the film captures every detail of production and the immense scale of her performances," writes Elena Cavender. "It feels less like a viral moment and more like a celebration of her career."
