Kellyanne Conway will not be ignored. Especially not in Saturday Night Live's remake of the problematic 90s psychosexual thriller Fatal Attraction.

Played by Kate McKinnon, the Trump advisor goes all "Single White Female" on Beck Bennett's Jake Tapper, lurking uninvited in his house, desperate to get back on the news.

In the skit, the State Of The Unionhost heads home from work after declining to book Conway -- an incident that reportedly happened on CNN this week. Little does he know, the New Jersey native is waiting in the dark, ready and waiting to do her best Glenn Close-redux.

"I just want to be a part of the news, Jake," she says. "What else was I supposed to do? You weren't answering your calls. You changed your number."

Tapper/Bennett points out she invented a massacre on live TV -- the Bowling Green Massacre, to be specific -- but she won't be swayed. "Think of the clicks, Jake," she taunts. "Don't you see? I do this for you, I don't do it for me. You need me." The brutal thing is, she's kind of right.

Not enticed by the offer of a guest spot on Fareed Zakaria's show -- "I have an office in the f*ucking White House" -- Kellyanne gets her Con-way.

Fatal Attraction has been criticised for its one-dimensional take on the scorned woman, and the same criticism has been made of the sketch. In any case, the intense parody has an even darker ending straight out of a Stephen King novel, and according to Saturday Night Live, McKinnon's Conway has three lives left. Guess that means we'll be seeing her again.
